Referring Physician Portal

Physicians who refer to San Patricio MEDFLIX sonograms, computed tomography scans, magnetic resonance imaging scans, nuclear medicine studies, including SPECT-CT and PET-CT scans, have access to view the images of their patients from any computer with an internet connection. This service is fully compliant with HIPAA law regulations and is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

Streamlining access to these images have the potential to greatly increase efficiency in your office hours so that, at your discretion, you can be informed of results before seeing your patient. It also has the potential to reduce the time it takes to load images from CDs onto your computer and hang printed images on your negatoscope or desktop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Exclusively those patients you referred to San Patricio MEDFLIX as of January 1, 2014. 

The images will be available for a minimum of six months in our medical portal. 

The system is available 24 hours 7 days a week all days of the year, save for periods of maintenance and upgrades. 

Yes, you may do so exclusively for reference purposes*

Click on the “Forgot your password?” link, enter your email and press “Send”. You will receive an email, follow the instructions to create a new password.

 Since 2014. having been the first medical institution in Puerto Rico to provide access to the images and the report in a single platform. 

You will just need your colleague’s email. You will notice that each study has a checkbox on the left and you can check one or more studies. Then press “Actions” and choose “Share”. Type in your colleague’s email address and press “Share Studies”. This will send you a secure link so that your colleague can access the shared study on the same portal.

The system has a “DICOM Viewer” approved by the FDA for diagnostic use. You will be able to see the images in their maximum resolution as well as to manipulate them (windows, contrasts, rotation, etc.) You can also download both the report and the images and attach them to your own EHR.

Bone densitometry (DEXA) studies and reports are the only ones that are not accessible in our portal. 

All patients have access to their studies and reports (save for DEXA) in a secure account and are able to share this access with their referring physician since 2018.
