2001 - Dr. Fernando Zalduondo founder of San Patricio MRI & CT Center, identify a necessity of an ambulatory, modern and cozy facilities that provides patients a combination of specialized radiology diagnosis and nuclear medicine in the same roof. These services will be available for Puerto Rico, near islands and USA.

2006 - Our evolution begins from moving to Marginal Kennedy in San Juan; continuing with our mission of been providers of radiological services and nuclear medicine with an excellent medical team.

2006 - The first arquitectural designs of our new facilities located in Marginal Kennedy, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

2010 - The term MEDFLIX is short for “MED = medical” and “FLIX = movie”. The new name highlights the multidimensional characteristics of our offering, some of our high end quality studies displayed in cinematographic format, thus adding a new dimension to invaluable diagnostic information.

2011 - San Patricio MEDFLIX is preferred by renowned physicians and thousands of patients from all Puerto Rico municipalities and is proud to have also served patients from the mainland United States and several countries from the Caribbean.  Our imaging center has been selected as the hub to service patients who form part of research studies collaborating with principal investigators and their medical team in the outpatient community and the University of Puerto Rico.  Research areas have featured oncology, endocrinology, neurology and neuropsychiatry fields.  Moreover, we have served as part of the academic experience of health professionals including technologists, medical students, and residents.

2020 - Acuson Sequoia arrives to our facilities, providing hi-resolution images of sonography that comprehends human structure producing precise images of each anatomical region.

2021 - Social Media rebranding to focus on health education and how radiology contributes to have a healthy life.

2022 - Launching digital campaign focusing on culture, arts and nature activities per month across the island.

2023 - New website launch with interactive information to facilitate patient experience and education.

San Patricio MEDFLIX was the first and remains one of few outpatient facilities on the island accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for coronary CTA and Cardiac MRI.

The MRI, CT, PET-CT, Nuclear Medicine and Sonography machines have been accredited by the American College of Radiology, in most instances even before it was compulsory by federal law.

Environmental Awareness

We are committed to our planet’s wellbeing; therefore, at San Patricio MEDFLIX environmental awareness is part of our corporate culture.

We have drastically reduced the use of paper, films, and CDs in our daily operations, recycle plastic and other materials, and made adjustments towards energy conservation. We are part of the Siemens Healthcare: Proven Excellence Sustainable Impact Program which contributes to reforestation of the Sebangau National Park, in Central Kalimantan, a province of Indonesia, and reduces tons of CO2 per year.
