Todo estudio de resonancia magn\u00e9tica de senos se debe interpretar y correlacionar con una mamograf\u00eda reciente y adem\u00e1s, con frecuencia, con una sonomamograf\u00eda reciente.<br \/>Todo estudio de resonancia magn\u00e9tica de senos que pretenda detectar c\u00e1ncer de seno u otra patolog\u00eda, requiere la inyecci\u00f3n de contraste intravenoso gadolinio.  Ambos senos se deben estudiar rutinariamente puesto que esta modalidad  detecta c\u00e1ncer que no se sospecha cl\u00ednicamente en otros estudios de seno en el seno contrario al que se sospecha o ya se ha documentado un problema.  Tambi\u00e9n detecta c\u00e1ncer en otras \u00e1reas del seno en el que se sospecha o ya se ha documentado c\u00e1ncer.  Esta informaci\u00f3n puede cambiar el tipo de tratamiento a seguir. El seno contrario tambi\u00e9n demostr\u00f3 un peque\u00f1o c\u00e1ncer invisible por mamograf\u00eda.
