Your Radiologist

Radiologists are the only doctors specially trained in the diagnosis and care of patients through medical studies of imaging detection.  They help save lives and save money on health care detecting early disease and offering effective treatment for cancer, cardiovascular risk, and many other diseases.

Years in the Making:

  • 4 years to get a college degree
  • 4 years of medical school (M.D.)
  • 1 year internship
  • 4 years diagnostic radiology residency
  • 1-2 year in advanced subspecialty training (fellowship, optional)
  • Certified by the American Board of Radiology  
  • Additional optional Competency Certificate by the American Board of Radiology (Certificate of Added Qualification)
